Cookout Club and a car seat

This weekend we had our monthly cookout club.  We headed up to Pradeep and Sarah's on Saturday and ate some DELICIOUS ribs!  Pradeep and Sarah are great hosts and it was a super fun time.  I didn't take any photos :( but I did eat some good food.  We enjoyed this time with our friends and it's crazy thinking this was our last child free gathering.  This monthly meeting will change considerably this fall - 3 new Moms and Dads and 4 new babies.  I am so glad to have Jess and Sarah to go through this journey with and so excited Baby M will have friends instantly!

On Sunday we put the car seat in the car...one more thing checked off the list.  The list pretty much all checked off now...just a few more days to X off the calendar...

Feeling Ready!

Baby M is due 3 weeks from today!  We are feeling ready.  Lately we have been putting away a fabulous wardrobe of washed newborn clothes

and last weekend we packed our "GO BAG" so when the time does come we are all ready!

So glad to have made it full term - exactly 37 weeks and can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy!

Baby M's first wedding

Our friends Alex and Trisha got married Saturday night. It was a great celebration and tons of fun to see so many friends. The program was original and very "them."

Marcus was in town for the event and brought Baby M 3 of his trademark bibs.  Isn't that cute!

We had a relaxing day today starting at Waffle House.  Look how close my belly is to the table!

Later I washed baby clothes and put them away. Laundry isn't so bad when it's so adorable. I can't wait to dress the little one in all these clothes.

HB Shower

Last week my sweet work friends threw me a shower in the office.  Tuesday after work most of the ladies stopped by for some food, wine, and a good time.  It was so sweet of Amelia and Leslie to put this together!

My co-workers are so generous!  We even got the monitor for Baby M's room which was the last big thing we needed.  Everything is really coming together now!

Ralph has been very protective of me as of late and especially loves laying his head on my belly and listening to The Baby.  It's so cute and I can't wait to see him actually interact with  Baby M on the outside!

4th of July!

We had a fabulous long 4th of July Weekend.  Technically we started celebrating on the 2nd by going out to dinner with Jessie Ann, Scott, Katie and Pratik for Hibachi for my birthday.  We had a blast but took no photos :(

Late Thursday Ryan's childhood friend Ben and his girlfriend Jackie arrived from Pittsburgh to spend the weekend with us.  On Friday we had a great time with them: watching the hot dog eating contest, grilling out and going to watch fireworks.  Ben and Jackie were so fun and we all had a blast on this cooler than normal July 4th!

VACATION

Even though we only stayed half the week, we still had all the fun for Hurley Beach Week 2014.  The drive down included a "Flash Freeze" which reminded me how much I really LOVE Icees!

Ryan's Birthday and My New Car

We celebrated Ryan's birthday (back 3 weeks ago) with dinner at Veni Vidi Vici.  It was just the two of us and we had a great time.  They even brought him a special dessert.  It was really nice to spend time together just the two of us after a busy weekend with guests before our big summer vacation.

Later that week, I sold the Infiniti and got a new electric car!  Ellie Blue, cleverly named by my Dad, is totally electric, takes no gas and has a great safety rating.  So far we are loving it, and the lack of trips to the gas station.  I'm looking forward to bringing home Baby M in the "car from the future."
