Saturday Adventures

Last Saturday we went on our first walk around the neighborhood as a family.  It felt so good to get out and stretch our legs and the fresh air was good for Paige and Ralph.  We are hoping to do this at least few times a week over the next few months.

Later in the morning Aunt Jam came over to watch Paige and Ryan and I went to a shower for our good friends Pradeep and Sarah.  Pradeep and Ryan were fraternity brothers in college and Sarah and I are so glad they have remained friends and brought us together.  Their twins are due in November and Sarah's family threw them a fabulous shower to celebrate.   We were happy to celebrate with them, and it was a bonus to enjoy delicious BBQ with them and their friends and family.  Paige and Aunt Jam had a blast while we were gone - read stories, played and snuggled.

 

One week old

At her one week Dr's appointment Paige weighed 7 pounds 11.6 ounces.  This was up from her weight when we left the hospital which was 7 pounds 9.3 ounces.  Great news! Everything checked out great and she looked adorable in her white hot jump suit!

Before CeCe left we took some one week photos.  We're looking forward to watching Paige grow!

Our first week together

We had a great first week home together. My Mom, CeCe to Paige, stayed with us until Thursday.  She took great care of all 3 of us making sure we were fed and healthy.  Paige received lots of pink flowers

Coming Home

We were so excited to bring Paige home on Sunday the 17th. I dressed Paige in the same gown I wore home 31 years ago, we snapped some pictures and were on our way.

Mom and Aunt Jam greeted us when we arrived; they had decorated the door and mailbox. It felt so good to be home!

Paige's Photo Shoot

Mom, Aunt Jam and I had a blast with Paige on Friday and Saturday in the hospital.  We played all day and took tons of pictures.

Pizza Party and Dolly!

Friday night in the hospital we had a pizza party!  While I was pregnant it became a Friday night tradition to eat pizza and we are looking forward to continuing this weekly dinner plan with Paige.

Doc went and got Varasano's and it was so good! Thanks Doc! Paige watched me from the bed to ensure I ate enough!

 Paige also got her first doll, Dolly, on Friday from her Aunt Jam! This is so fitting because Aunt Jam has always loved dolls and would take a baby with her everywhere when she was little. I think Paige, Dolly and Jam will make many happy memories!

 

It's a Girl!

Our perfect little girl, Paige Elizabeth McLellan, was born Thursday August 14 at 3:07am.  She weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces, was 20 and a half inches long and has beautiful blue eyes.

 

We spent a few days in the hospital and Paige met her family. We are all so glad she's here!
