We celebrated Memorial Day Weekend with a staycation and enjoyed relaxing at home and with friends around town. On Saturday we had a pool day with the cookout club. We snacked in the afternoon and Craig made some great burgers in the early evening. It was a super fun day, this is such a great group of friends!
Sunday we went to ALL YOU CAN EAT brunch at 57th Fighter group with Jessie Ann and Scott, their friends David and Megan and our friends Mike and Jess. We stuffed ourselves: omlettes, waffles, roast beef, bananas foster, basically all the breakfast food you can think of. Ryan and I didn't eat again until 9 that night. It was so good! We will for sure do this again.
We par took in traditional Memorial Day activities with a cookout at Brandon and Gretchen's house. Burgers and Dogs, tons of sides and great desserts. It was the perfect end to a great weekend!
And of course we played with Ralph outside alot!

Last night of little league
Friday night was Ryan's last night calling games at Murphy Candler for the spring. There is a great trail around the lake there so Ralph and I went to walk and watch. It was a fun Friday night, even though Ralph isn't very good at taking selfies...he's more into licking faces.

Wow - 28 weeks!
I am 28 weeks pregnant today. The time has really flown by. I get these weekly updates and this one is so cool! Baby M is probably around 2 pounds, the size of an eggplant and basically fully developed now just getting bigger all the time. So cool! We can't wait to see the little eggplant out in the real world! 12 more weeks!

Leatherversary
Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary which is traditionally the "leather anniversary." We stuck to the tradition - Ryan gave me a braid leather Pandora bracelet and I gave him two belts. I'm looking forward to adding charms to my bracelet over the years and Ryan really needed some new belts (you can see one of them in the photo below). He also got some new cargo shorts, which are always his favorite. He also spoiled me with a spring bouquet and some Lindor truffles!
We went to dinner at St. Cecilia and ate like royalty: charred octopus, charcuterie platter, gnudi, risotto, and Georgia Drum. The octopus was my favorite thing of the night, but we were also really impressed with the amount of meat we got on the charcuterie platter. We loved both of our pasta courses; the risotto was served with clams and greens which was quite good and the gnudi were little pasta pillows made from ricotta cheese - we loved them! It was the first time either of us had Georgia Drum which was a tender white fish, the fish was good but the artichokes and caper berries it was served with really made the dish. So glad we saved the menu to add to our collection!
As we were eating Ryan toasted to our last anniversary dinner without a baby sitter at home. Wow! What a great observation. We are looking forward to many more anniversary dinners - with a baby sitter at home!

Sweet Sister
Jessie Ann brought me the sweetest Mother's Day gift with a bee theme: a locket with two big bees and a baby bee and an adorable outfit. What a sweet sister! Thanks JAM!
Decorating with Dots
The stickers for Baby M's room came yesterday. We can't wait to decorate the wall with all the dots!

Right on Target
Wednesday Jessie Ann met me at Target and we registered there for baby M. It was a fun time, and we picked out the necessities and some cute little clothes. Thanks for your help Aunt JAM!

Get Your Guts in Gear
Yesterday I volunteered at Get Your Guts in Gear The Rride for Cohn's and Colitis. My friend Mary Catherine suffers from Cohn' and I was happy to volunteer in her honor. Homrich Berg sponsored the event and 9 employees volunteered at our rest stop. We had a great time cheering on the riders.
Pretty Grey Nursery
Friday Mom, Dad, and Ryan painted the baby's room. It's a beautiful light grey that will be the perfect back drop for the aqua, yellow and orange polka dots and alphabet wall.
We finished up Friday with a big family dinner at Peter Chang's. Who doesn't love lots of Chinese dishes off a big lazy Susan? We will definitely go back, the menu was a novel, the atmosphere was great and everything we had was delicious. This was a fun way to celebrate Mom and Dad being in town, Uncle Dennis' birthday and Momma Sylvia and Grandaddy's upcoming trip to France. I'm so glad we have so much family close to make these memories with!
They all three worked so hard and it shows. Thanks family! They also put the counter tops on the new island and side board. Unfortunately the sides and back panels are still on back order so we aren't quite done yet, but at least with the counter tops the pieces are usable.
